Cannock Welcome Group

This is to help people who aren’t quite ready to join a full group, who just need a helping hand to build the confidence amongst some others who are all in the same boat.
This is a small group and stays that way so that new members can build their confidence at their own pace without feeling intimidated by too many other members. It is led by a couple of peer mentors who have been through the service themselves who just want to help you to get the most out of what the social hub has to offer.
The group is informal and low key, it is about having a chat and a cuppa in a quiet local venue.
There are no limits to how many times you attend this group but the overall aim is to get you accessing the busier sides of the service which is where the challenges lie and where you will eventually feel the most benefits. But it is small steps to begin with and this is your first one, so come along and see what it’s all about. If you need a helping hand to attend the first session just ring the Cannock office and we will make sure there is someone to greet you and make you feel at home.
