This group has been running for over 4 years now and is such a lovely welcoming group to attend. It is designed for those people who want to maintain their mental health recovery by dipping in and out of a little psychoeducation with a whole lot of social support. We meet every week and support each other by sharing our stories, problems and achievements. We have trained Recovery Practitioners who can help us to think in different ways about our problems and to see the solutions instead. Psychoeducation may cover assertiveness techniques, self-esteem, confidence building, depression and anxiety management, as well as relaxation and sleep management. Sometimes, when in distress, it is a comfort to know you have somewhere to go to access social and emotional support when you need it. Alternatively, if you feel you need to attend regularly for a while, that’s ok too.
